The Park City, UT mansion of ABC News correspondent and six-time Emmy winner Bill Redeker has managed to secure an owner the old-fashioned way just days before it was set to hit the auction block on June 13.

8 Ruby Hollow, the five-bedroom, eight-bathroom, ski-in/ski-out estate was custom-designed by the city’s current mayor and acclaimed architect, Jack Thomas. The estate sits on top of Deer Valley’s Flagstaff Mountain and offers the longest ski run frontage in the exclusive Red Cloud gated-community. The property was last listed at $11.75 million.

The 8,100-square-foot mansion includes a four-sided vaulted fireplace that divides the main floor into four open living and dining areas. The estate includes a gourmet kitchen with features that include Italian granite countertops, custom cabinetry and rich walnut flooring. A large island marks the center of the room and sits adjacent to a breakfast bar with seating for five.

The kitchen features a full-service coffee and espresso bar and an inlaid gas fireplace that sits above a six-burner Wolf® gas stove and grill. Other culinary-grade appliances include two stainless steel ovens, microwave, an oversized Sub Zero® refrigerator, two additional refrigerator drawers, four sinks and two dishwashers. The estate also features a temperature-regulated wine cellar with built-in cedar shelving and space for nearly 1,000 bottles.

The master suite boasts a pitches ceiling, an exposed stone wall, a fireplace, a large walk-in-closet and an oversized dressing room. The ensuite master bathroom is finished with Italian marble and features an inlaid fireplace, his-and-her vanity sinks, an infinity-edged soaking tub, and a large steam shower with multiple spa-style rain shower heads.
